Where is the festival?
The festival is located on the northern Bruce Peninsula, based out of the town of Tobermory. The Park Visitor Centre, just off Highway 6 on Chi-Sintib'dek Road, is the festival headquarters. Here you can register for the festival, pick up a schedule of events and ask questions. Activities, such as the feature presentation, will be held at this location. Many of the field activities begin at these headquarters, but will visit locations in and around Bruce Peninsula National Park. Transportation between the headquarters and field sites is by private car-pooling. About Tobermory and the Northern Bruce Peninsula
Tobermory is located at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, where Georgian Bay meets Lake Huron. The northern Bruce Peninsula is known for its expansive wilderness and the incredible scenery of the Georgian Bay shoreline. This area is home to two national parks and is recognized as the heart of the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve.

What about accommodations and services?
Tobermory is a small town located on a picturesque harbour. There is a range of accommodations, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores and two gas stations. Due to the size of the town, if you have specialized needs (ie. pharmaceuticals) it would be wise to bring them with you. For more information, visit the following tourism websites: Can I bring a large organized group?
To protect the orchids from trampling, we have to be very cautious about the size of groups that participate in Orchid Festival activities. Therefore, large groups such as bus tours cannot easily be accommodated in the activities. If you're thinking of coming in a large group, contact Janet Johnston - Festival contact for information about your options.
